The artwork is a glass sculpture of a wave, crafted in a crescent shape with dynamic motion frozen in time. The wave is composed of varying shades of blue, from deep cobalt at the base to lighter, translucent aquamarine and turquoise tones towards the crest. The crest of the wave is accentuated with clear, textured glass droplets that mimic the foam and spray of a breaking wave. The sculpture is mounted on a minimalist, black metal stand that supports and frames the wave, emphasizing its fluid, circular form. The overall effect is vibrant and energetic, capturing the essence and power of ocean water in a stylized, elegant manner.
This piece is constructed of all hand cut glass pieces and frit. It is a one of a kind piece and cannot be exactly duplicated, approximately 10" in diameter and includes the metal stand.
